Data science research consulting includes data analysis, grant proposal assistance, one-on-one training, experimental design discussion, software assistance, custom programming. The ODSC data science staff has expertise in a wide range of specializations.

The ODSC is hiring a Data Analyst/Trainer. This position will be involved in constructing data science workshops and conducing collaborative research projects.

In Fall 2021, we launched our first data science training with the Reproducible Research workshop series. Lillian Aoki taught a cohort of 11 graduate students and postdocs across UO, OSU, and PSU. Students participated in three workshops covering the topics of reproducible research workflows, using Git for version control, and using GitHub for collaboration. Participants represented a range of disciplines, including Human Physiology, Microbiology, Marine Science, and Geography. The next Reproducible Research workshop series will be offered in Spring 2022.
